Wearing Your Tiara
Every woman needs a tiara! And she needs to wear it. Mine was a gift from my daughter a few years ago, and I wear mine – on birthdays, Mother’s Day and anytime I need to remember who I am. Joyfully.
Do not be afraid to feel foolish. You will be joyful, too, at the smiles and compliments you get. That is not the reason to wear it, but fear is not a reason not to wear it. Crown yourself.
Take a minute to remember who you are. Do not dive into all the missed marks, times you lost your temper, moments when you could do for your friends or children what you wanted to do. Stop your mental inventory of all the times you failed. Now, with everything in your being, start listing the things you overcame, goals that you met, times that you stretched everything in your being to meet someone else’s need.
Write them down on paper. Ask those you love and who love you what their best memories of you are. They will remember things that you do not. You will be surprised. When you have a page full of things you have done right, crown yourself.
This is going to be a major movement towards the change you seek.
